The Maurer School of Law is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Reports as one of the top 25 in the United States in the area of taxation. It is currently number 23. The heart of the Maurer Tax Program is its people. The centerpiece of Maurer's Tax Program is the Tax Policy Colloquium, which brings together Maurer faculty, students, alumni, other faculty, and tax experts from around the world. The Colloquium has run every academic year since 2009, typically in the spring semester. The talks generally are open to registrants. The Spring 2024 Colloquium series wrapped up in April.
Early in the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Maurer Tax Program also featured the Indiana/Leeds Summer Tax Workshop Series, a joint project of Prof. Lederman (Maurer) and Prof. Leopoldo Parada (University of Leeds, U.K.). Videos from Summer 2020's and Summer 2021's series are linked below.
