To reserve a group study room, you must first read and acknowledge the updated study room policies.
- Group study rooms in the Jerome Hall Law Library are for the exclusive use of IU Maurer Law School faculty and students. Any other use is allowed only with the permission of the Law Library administration.
- Group study rooms are for group study only and may not be reserved for individual use.
- Group study rooms may be reserved by a group for a maximum of three hours per day and 12 hours per week.
- Reservations must be made in one-, two, or three-hour increments.
- Non-consecutive reservations for the same group must be at least two hours apart. In other words, you may not reserve a room for 9-11am and then 12-1pm. You would have to wait until at least 1pm for the start of the second reservation.
- Study groups are not allowed to avoid the reservation limitations by having different group members make non-compliant reservations.
- Any attempts to circumvent the reservation limits will result in your booking being canceled and the possibility of being banned from any further use of the Jerome Hall Law Library's study rooms. The matter may also be reported to the Dean of Students.
- Group study rooms will be held for 15 minutes past the reservation start time. After 15 minutes, the entire block of reserved time may be reassigned to another group.
- Anyone using a study room must check out a key to the room from the circulation desk. Keys must be returned promptly at the end of the reserved time.
- Overdue fines for keys are $1.00 per hour.
- The fine for a lost key is $75.00.
- The Jerome Hall Law Library reserves the right to cancel a reservation.
