Congratulations, Class of 2021!
IU commencement ceremony
Law School graduates are invited to an in-person outdoor ceremony on Friday, May 7. This ceremony will be for graduates only and will include students from IU’s various graduate and professional programs. Family and friends will not be invited to attend this ceremony. More details about this event can be found here, and you may indicate whether you plan to attend here.
Maurer School of Law graduation celebration
The Law School is planning to celebrate its graduates in a much more personalized, school-specific, live celebration via Zoom on Saturday, May 8. The graduation committee is hard at work designing this program and ensuring that we are able to carry on our graduation traditions and create a ceremony that will be meaningful and memorable. More information will be available soon.
Graduates contact Herff Jones to order graduation regalia (gown, hood, tam and tassel). Detailed ordering instructions can be found here. The regalia will be shipped directly to you and will come with a prepaid return shipping label so you can return the gown and hood (you keep the tam and tassel). The deadline to order is April 5, after which there is a surcharge of $75.
Certificates, honors cords, and other graduation-related items
The Office of Student Affairs will assemble graduate packages from the Law School for each student containing a composite picture of the class, Latin honor cords, and any certificates or recognitions you may be receiving. We will distribute these packages in person at the Law School and will arrange to mail them packages to those who have no other way of getting them.
Please update your "Student Home" address to whichever address you would like your diploma mailed to. Your diploma will be mailed 10-12 weeks after your graduation and will take an additional 6-8 weeks for shipping. If you are not in the United States, you can pay for FedEx international priority shipping to receive your diploma sooner by using the FedEx request form at the page listed above. The university recommends using FedEx International Priority for deliveries to China.
This page will be updated with more information as it is confirmed. Please contact the Office of Student Affairs with questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
