About
The board’s primary purpose is to provide guidance to the Law School’s Asian and Asian American law students. The board works throughout the year with students, comes together on campus for an annual meeting, and provides input on such critical issues as recruitment, retention, networking and placement of the Asian and Asian American student population. The board acts in a similar way to the Law School’s BLSA and Latino Alumni Advisory Boards.
The APALSA Alumni Advisory Board will play an important role. Board expectations include:
- Meetings and annual reception: participating in board meetings which includes attending the annual meeting in Bloomington each fall.
- Advice and guidance: Working with board leadership to help advise and counsel the dean and school leadership; and
- Supporting students: Being available to the school’s APALSA students for advice and support, including support as they enter the legal profession.
