JD admission

Come here, go anywhere

As one of the nation’s first law schools, the Maurer School of Law has been educating leaders of the bar, bench, government and private sector all over the country and around the world for more than 180 years. Our JD program has few peers in terms of curricular depth and breadth, and is taught by some of the most influential legal minds and successful practitioners in the country.

Located in one of nation’s most adored university towns and known for its incredibly collegial student body, the Maurer School of Law attracts and enrolls some of the country’s most gifted, caring law students, the majority of whom go onto secure jobs outside the Hoosier State after graduation.

Hover over a state to find out how many of our graduates between 2018–2023 have located there and how many total alumni are in each state (e.g., California: 27/509).

'A wonderful place to be'

"One of the reasons I love Maurer so much is because the community of students and faculty truly make it a wonderful place to be, even when the days get long. The hallways are always filled with smiling students, and professors' doors are always open. I feel supported, appreciated, and encouraged each and every day."
