Biography
Justin Zuschlag joined the Maurer School of Law as a director in the Career Services Office in 2021. While students often see their career trajectory as linear and narrow, Justin tries to help them embrace the nonlinearity of career development and enjoy the process of finding meaningful work.
Prior to joining the Law School, Justin spent 10 years in career services at IU Bloomington, most recently as the senior associate director of career education in the Walter Center for Career Achievement. He has worked with exploratory students in University Division and undergraduate and graduate students in the 80+ majors of the College of Arts & Sciences. He is a certified Strong Interest Inventory practitioner and a graduate of the National Association of Colleges and Employers 2019 Management Leadership Institute.
Justin has served on the Career Development Professionals of Indiana board of directors and the executive committee of the Big Ten Academic Alliance’s Liberal Arts and Sciences Initiative. He received his BS in ballet performance through the Jacobs School of Music and his MA in arts administration through the O'Neill School of Public and Environment Affairs at Indiana University. Before coming to career services, Justin worked with nonprofit arts organizations, including the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Indianapolis School of Ballet, the Bloomington Area Arts Council, and Dance Kaleidoscope, and as a faculty member in Indiana University’s Contemporary Dance Program.
