Disabled Law Students Association
Mission
The Disabled Law Students Association (DLSA) is an open and inclusive organization dedicated to providing a community and support students with all of types disabilities at Indiana University Maurer School of Law and to the advancement of equal rights for disabled individuals.
About DLSA
DLSA is committed to being inclusive of and advocating on behalf of all disabled students and students who support issues related to disability justice personally or professionally.
Within Indiana University Maurer School of Law, DLSA seeks to increase awareness of disability issues by sponsoring educational events, fostering a disability presence in the Maurer School of Law student body, faculty and staff, and collaborating with other student groups on disability issues. DLSA strives to combat the stigma that is frequently associated with disability, to foster an environment in which disabled students are comfortable being open about their disabilities, and to provide a safe space to discuss issues if students are not open about their disabilities, and to add their experiences to the vibrant community on campus in order to promote the full social and professional inclusion of disabled people.
