CAPS Workshop: Anxiety Toolbox (session 2)

Anxiety Toolbox is a fast-paced three-session group specifically designed to help people who struggle with a variety of anxiety-related concerns (e.g., panic attacks, generalized anxiety, test anxiety). The goal of this group is to provide education on anxiety and to teach coping skills for managing anxiety symptoms.
Hosted by Brad Dieter, the Law School’s Counselor-in-Residence. RSVP on CareerNet and plan to attend all sessions (last session is Feb. 25). Lunch will be provided.

Accountability for Atrocity Crimes in Ukraine and Beyond in Our Current Political Climate

Ambassador Clint Williamson will present, "Accountability for Atrocity Crimes in Ukraine and Beyond in Our Current Political Climate.”
Ambassador Williamson is lead coordinator of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group for Ukraine. A former US war crimes ambassador, he also served as lead prosecutor of the European Union Special Investigative Task Force, special expert to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and as a prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. He is senior director for international justice at Georgetown University.

Film screening and discussion: Reimagining Safety
5 p.m. Welcome, film screening, Q+A with Matthew Solomon following the film in the DeLaney Moot Court Room
Attend a screening of Reimagining Safety, followed by a Q+A with director Matthew Solomon, as part of the Indiana Journal for Law and Social Equality’s Liberatory Lawyering symposium. In the film, 10 experts (including LA County District Attorney George Gascón, USC Law Professor Dr. Jody Armour, Law Enforcement Expert Alex S Vitale, and Halifax Professor Dr. El Jones) discuss the false premise that more police and prisons make us safer while providing practical and actionable solutions toward achieving systems of safety that work for everyone. Reimagining Safety is receiving positive feedback and support from social justice organizations and newly elected progressive leaders.

Liberatory Lawyering: Strategies for Transformative Change in the Modern Era

The 2025 Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality symposium will explore transformative approaches to lawyering that diverge from traditional tactics emphasized during the civil rights era. It will consider interconnected philosophies such as rebellious lawyering, movement lawyering, and collective liberation, which each seek to dismantle systemic injustices through collaborative, grassroots-driven efforts. The three sessions offer Indiana CLE opportunities!

CACR Speaker Series: Daniel Wallance

Wallance will present his lessons on cybersecurity from the front line. He will share a brief history of cybersecurity, speak to what’s next over the horizon, and give his perspective on cybersecurity risk management, including quantum computing and GenAI cybersecurity.
Daniel Wallance is a senior expert with McKinsey & Company with a focus on cybersecurity and technology risk and resilience for financial services institutions and critical infrastructure companies. He is a member of Business Executives for National Security and holds a master’s degree in systems engineering from MIT.
