This week in the Law School
Indiana Law will welcome many alumni late this week for its annual Alumni Summit. Several advisory boards will meet Friday, and we'll honor the recipients of our 2023 Distinguished Service Awards. And on Saturday, the classes of 1973, 1998, and 2013 will hold milestone reunion events.
Monday
Bar exam information session for 2Ls and 3Ls

Join the Office for Student Affairs to learn about the bar exam application process, the general scope and content of the Uniform Bar Exam, Character and Fitness disclosure requirements, the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam, and other considerations relevant to licensure.
Her Excellency: A Conversation with Women Judges from Constitutional Courts in the MENA Region
5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the DeLaney Moot Court Room
Join us for a visit with women judges from the constitutional courts of Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco as they discuss their experience as members of the highest courts in their countries.
Judges Maysa Bydoon (Constitutional Court of Jordan), Taghrid Hikmet (Constitutional Court of Jordan), Latifa El Khal (Constitutional Court of Morocco), and Mireille Najm (Constitutional Council of Lebanon) will answer questions from Dean Christiana Ochoa, with an opportunity for questions from members of the audience as well.

The American Constitution Society will host professors Andrew Hammond, Jenn Oliva, and Steve Sanders for a discussion of some of the critical cases before the Supreme Court this year. The cases will include U.S. v. Rahimi; O’Connor-Ratcliff v. Garnier; Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo; Consumer Financial Protection Bureau v. Community Financial Services Association of America; Securities and Exchange Commission v. Jarkesy; and Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA.

The Truth About the Trump Indictments

Join the Federalist Society for an interactive discussion and exploration of the state of the Trump indictments. Titled, "Why the rule of law and safeguarding democracy demand that Trump be prosecuted, and why they demand that he not be," Georgetown professor and former White House Special Counsel Bill Otis, explores one of the most vexing conundrums in law and governance that the country is facing in real time.

Join us over lunch to learn tips and tricks to better understand and use the case management system Clio. We will be joined by Ginnie Phero, a veritable Clio scholar, who assists the Civil Protective Order Clinic on all things Clio.

BLSA seeking Gong Show contestants

Modeled on the the original '70s-era NBC game show, the Black Law Students Association's Gong Show is one of the Law School's signature events. The show will be at The Back Door, October 19, 7:30 - 9:30.
20th annual JD/GLS Socctoberfest! Register now
