Voting rights colloquium.
5-6 pm
Although the presidential election has come and gone, the struggle for voting rights continues on the local, state, and federal level. Please join Illinois State Representative Katie Stuart and Franita Tolson, vice dean and professor of law, University of Southern California Gould School of Law, for a discussion on the current state of voting rights in the U.S. This panel will be moderated by Prof. Luis Fuentes-Rohwer. Environmental Law Society spring meeting.

All students are invited to ELS’s spring meeting. We will elect new officers and share information about upcoming events. Additionally, students will have a chance to hear from faculty about next year’s extracurricular opportunities within the environmental field.

Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality symposium: Diversity in the workplace, Part 2

Join the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality for a discussion with Law School alumni and legal professionals for part two of a discussion on diversity in the workplace. This event is specifically for Indiana Law students and is meant to provide an opportunity for students to ask questions on issues they may face as summer or new associates, and the best way to address those issues. The panelists will discuss diversity committees, dealing with difficult clients, and workplace concerns.
There will be an opportunity to submit questions at the webinar, but feel free to send in questions in advance to ijlsese@iu.edu, and make sure to include whether you would like the question to be anonymous or to attribute the question to you.

SBA is pairing with CSO to provide 1Ls an opportunity to connect virtually connect with 2Ls and 3Ls. The series is called “Cocktail Chats” and consists of informal Zoom sessions with two themed breakout rooms. The commencement committee has started planning for this year's commencement, which will feature an in-person ceremony for graduates only (no family or other guests) on May 7, and a separate virtual ceremony just for law students on May 8. Go to this page for details, and visit often for updates.

Callout for IJGLS New Global Scholar Series.
The Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies is seeking submissions from SJD and LLM students for its inaugural online New Global Scholar Series. All accepted pieces will be published on the IJGLS website, and the IJGLS Executive Board will provide all accepted authors with editing, formatting, and citation assistance. Education Law and Policy Institute.
The IU School of Education is hosting the 2021 Martha McCarthy Education Law and Policy Institute on May 14. This year, the McCarty Institute will be a virtual event, and registration will be free. The conference brings together educational leaders, attorneys, policymakers, and professors to participate in panel discussions addressing hot topics and cases in education law and to discuss a range of education law and policy topics in small groups.
