Law Students for Reproductive Justice Sex Ed Trivia Night Fundraiser
Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Tickets will be sold during the lunch hour Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week in the lobby. Food and soda are included with your ticket, and the wining trivia team will receive a prize!
All funds raised will benefit Middle Way House's new PAWSS program, which provides a safe haven for pets and women who have been abused by their partner. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, more than 70 percent of pet-owning women experiencing abuse come into shelters reporting their abuser had threatened to harm their pets as a means of psychological control. Only 3% of shelters similar to Middle Way offer services to house animals. And for many women, this preclusion holds them back from leaving their abusive situation. Join us, along with our cosponsors the American Constitution Society, Feminist Law Forum, Health Law Society, Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, OUTLAW, and the Protective Order Project, as we raise awareness about sex education and domestic violence. Dunnkirk, 7:00-10:00 p.m.
