Evan Bruno and Ashley Martin won this year's competition in final arguments on Friday, February 25. More than 130 students competed this year. Congratulations also to the other finalists, Ivo Austin and Paul Vaglica.

Academic Advising and Course Planning
These sessions provide information (with handouts) about graduation requirements, bar preparation coverage, and general scheduling matters to help you plan your course schedules for your remaining semesters. This foundational information will be most immediately helpful for you as you plan your fall class schedule; registration for 1Ls will be in early April. We will hold multiple sessions to provide flexibility for your busy schedules. The same material will be covered in each session, which should last 50 minutes. CGLP Country Talk: Thailand (and an Authentic Thai Lunch)
The Center on the Global Legal Profession launches its Country Talk series, featuring our LLM and SJD students. The talks will provide the law school community with insights into the legal profession of countries represented by our visiting LLMs and SJD students. Join your fellow students to hear Wanaporn Techagaisiyavanit, an LLM student from Thailand, who will focus her talk on 1) Thailand's legal system; 2) Thailand's legal educational system; 3) the process of becoming a lawyer and judge in Thailand; 4) cultural aspects of Thailand's legal system; and 5) Wan's own work experience as a treaty negotiator and its relevance to law practice. IP Theory Call-out Meeting
IP Theory is a new peer-edited intellectual property law publication hosted by Indiana Law's IP Program. It is neither law journal nor blog; it is a different sort of publication designed to occupy a niche between the two. We are ready to select next year's board of editors. Interested students (current 1Ls and 2Ls) are invited to join us to learn about the publication and application process. Applications will be due on Friday, March 11. Room 120, noon.
B547/B514 Information Session
The Law School permits students engaged in unpaid legal work for nonprofit, government agencies, judges, or legal services organizations (law firms for B514) to receive up to four credits during the summer through this program. In order to participate, a student must secure an internship and complete an academic component for credit. Students who qualify will also be eligible for summer financial aid. Attend this workshop to learn more. Room 122, noon.
Law Students for Reproductive Justice Meeting in Support of Planned Parenthood
The House recently passed a bill that would strip Planned Parenthood of major funds if eventually enacted. Attendance is encouraged for any members of the community interested in helping LSRJ plan or implement strategies to support Planned Parenthood and show opposition to the bill. Federal Trade Commission Chair Lecture
FTC Commission Chair Jon Leibowitz visits Indiana Law to deliver a lunchtime talk, "Public-Sector Lawyering: A Conversation with FTC Chair Jon Leibowitz." Corporate and intellectual property law aren't just for the private sector; there are many rewarding public-sector opportunities, too.
