Teaching Assistants Wanted
A professor of school law from the School of Education is looking for two or three law students (2 and 3Ls) to assist with her undergraduate school law course. Law students would assist with lesson plans, grading, and some teaching. Topics addressed in the course include church-state relations, student speech rights, special education law, teacher privacy rights, tort law, and teacher contracts. The course meets on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. The time commitment would be approximately three or four hours per week during the fall semester. This is not a paid position. One hour of directed reading credit might be available. If you are interested in assisting, please email a resume to Professor Martha McCarthy at mccarthy@indiana.edu. Professor McCarthy prefers applicants with an interest in school legal issues. Prior teaching experience would be helpful, too, but is not required.
