NEW DELHI JOURNALIST TALKS ABOUT JAMMU KASHMIR CONFLICT TONIGHT
The IU India Studies Program, in cooperation with the School of Journalism and the Office of International Programs, will present "The Media, the Military, and the Mujaheddin: Reporting the Conflict in Jammu and Kashmir," a guest lecture by Praveen Swami, a New Delhi special correspondent for India's Frontline magazine, at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, in room 015 of Wylie Hall.
KEN NUNN VISITS LAW SCHOOL NEXT WEEK
The Health Law Society is hosting a presentation with local personal injury lawyer Ken Nunn, JD'67, at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in room 122. Nunn will discuss personal injury law, health policy, and other issues related to health and the law. All interested faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend.

Professor Fred Cate was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Phi Beta Kappa Senate. His chapter, "Privacy Protection and the Quest for Information Control," appears in Who Rules the Net? Internet Governance and Jurisdiction (Adam Thierer & Clyde Wayne Crews Jr., eds., 2003), and his article (with Margaret Eisenhauer and Christopher Kuner), "A Proposal for a Global Privacy Protection Framework," appears in the American Bar Association's Consumer Protection Update (Sum. 2003).

LAW SCHOOL TRICK-OR-TREATING OCT. 30
The annual Law School Halloween party and trick-or-treating will start at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30. The parade will begin at 4:45 p.m. Students and faculty are encouraged to bring their children for the trick-or-treating through the Law School offices, and everyone is invited to come and be a part of the fun and games. Students interested in volunteering to coordinate events should e-mail Professor Michael Jenuwine at mjenuwin@indiana.edu.

ALL e-mail about reserving classrooms must be sent to BL-LAW-EVENTS. Mail must be sent to the correct address, bl-law-events (for Outlook users) or bl-events-law@exchange.indiana.edu (for non- Outlook users). Please include the date and time of event, length of time the room will be needed, classroom requested, and number of people attending the event. Requests should be sent at least one week before the event and include the name of the person requesting, the organization planning the event, and an e-mail address. Confirmations will be sent by reply e-mail. Thank you!

Please include the name of your group and the e-mail address of the contact person, a description of what you want to do, and the date, location, starting time and duration of the event.
