The journal's next symposium, on Globalization and Governance, will be on April 5 and 6.
EVENTS & LECTURES
FORUM ON BRINGING TERRORISTS TO JUSTICE
How should the terrorists responsible for the September 11 attacks be brought to justice? That is the question several members of the IU Law School faculty will address at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, in a public forum held in the Moot Courtroom of the Law School. Law professors Craig Bradley, Daniel Conkle, David Fidler, and Dawn Johnsen, with John Scanlan moderating, will consider the topic, "Bringing the Terrorists to Justice: Where and How Should the Prosecutions Proceed?" The panel will explore such issues as whether the U.S. criminal justice system is up to the task, whether the trials should be televised, whether President Bush's authorization of the use of military tribunals is constitutional and warranted, and whether international law constrains how the United States may proceed. This is the third forum in a a series sponsored by Chancellor Sharon Brehm to respond to national events.
NEWS FROM THE FACULTY
Professor Alex Tanford was a guest speaker at the 2002 Indiana Horticultural Congress. He gave the Wine Grape Council and update on the national litigation over direct shipment and Internet sales, and then participated in a tasting of the wines from 14 Indiana wineries.
