ACLU FORUM ON PRISON RAPE
The ACLU/Bloomington's December meeting will be a public forum on "Prison Rape: Civil Rights, Human Rights and Public Health Policy Perspectives." The forum takes place on Tuesday, Dec.11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Monroe County Public Library auditorium. Panelists include Prof. Stephanie Kane of the IU Dept. of Criminal Justice, who will speak about HIV/AIDS in American prisons; Dr. Dean Rieger, MD, MPH, Chief Physician for the Indiana Prison's Health Care Services, who will address the general issue of rape and sexual abuse in Indiana prisons; Dan Newman, an educator with the Northern Kentucky Health Dept., who will address male-on-male rape; and John Krull, director of the Indiana Civil Liberties Union, who will discuss the civil-rights issues involved.

Professor Conkle's article, "The Free Exercise Clause: How Redundant, and Why?" has been published in the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal as part of a symposium issue focusing on law and religion.

BLANKET COLLECTION TO AID AFGHAN REFUGEES
Blankets, quilts, and sleeping bags in good condition are being collected at the Law School until Dec. 15 for donation to Afghan refugees. The "No More Victims Campaign" is sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee, the Middle Eastern Law Student Association, Amnesty International (Law Chapter), and the Asian Pacific-Islander American Law Student Association. Cash donations will also be accepted and used to purchase blankets. If you have questions, please contact Maria Hermann (ehermann@indiana.edu) or Shafiqa Ahmadi (sahamadi@indiana.edu).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
MEDIATION TRAINING OFFERED IN JANUARY
Citizens for Community Justice (CCJ) and the Community Conflict Resolution Program (CCRP) are collaborating to offer victim-offender and community mediation training. There will be minimal costs associated with the training, and volunteers interested in gaining mediation training and experience are welcome to apply.
The victim-offender training occurs on January 10, 11 and 12. Contact Amy Dowell at 336-8677 or vorp@bloomington.in.us.
The community mediation training occurs on Jan. 10-11 and Feb. 1-3. (For those for whom Jan. 10-11 is not convenient, there is a weekend alternative on Jan. 25-27.) Interested law students may also direct inquiries to Professor Greenebaum, who is CCRP president, in Law 266 or at greeneba@indiana.edu.

To schedule classrooms in the law building, send e-mail to bl-law-events (for Outlook users) or bl- events-law@ exchange.indiana.edu (for non-Outlook users). Please include date and time of event, length of time room will be needed, classroom requested and number of people attending event. Requests should be sent at least one week prior to event and include name of person requesting, organization planning the event and an e-mail address. Confirmations will be sent by reply e-mail.
AUDIO - VIDEO SERVICES
Requests for AV services may be sent to Beth at av@exchange.indiana.edu. Please include the name of your group and the e-mail address of the contact person, a description of what you want to do, and the date, location, starting time and duration of the event. Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance and will be confirmed by e-mail.
