Brief biography
Angelina Nguyen Spitler is an S.J.D candidate at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Before coming to the Maurer School of Law, Angelina worked as a Law faculty, a Court clerk, and an IPRs counsel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Angelina’s research interests span the gamut of international trade and business law, ranging from building concepts and recognizing Literature gaps to filling in those gaps through her research with strong policy implications. Angelina’s scholarship in these areas has been published and is forthcoming in Reviews and Journals in Vietnam and in the U.S. Her dissertation explores Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in developing countries with an intense focus on FDI in Vietnam. Angelina aims to provide a thorough insight into the historical development of FDI in developing countries and Vietnam, the advantages, the disadvantages, the status, and the impacts of FDI on the macro level and a micro level with strong policy implications.
