
Biography
Yi Jiang joined the Jerome Hall Law Library in 2023. Currently Jiang serves as the Head of Technical Services, overseeing acquisitions, cataloging, electronic resources management, archiving, and the law library’s integrated library system.
Jiang collaborates widely with colleagues within the Law Library and across the university to enhance discovery, access, and long-term preservation of legal and scholarly resources. Her research interests include the intersection of technology and metadata, linked data, entity management, and the application of artificial intelligence in metadata practices.
Before joining the Maurer School of Law, Jiang held acquisitions and cataloging positions in the Technical Services Department at Indiana University’s Wells Library. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from Tsinghua University and her M.L.I.S. from San José State University. Prior to entering librarianship, she practiced law in Beijing.
Jiang is active in the professional community and has served in leadership roles within the American Association of Law Libraries’ Technical Services Special Interest Section. She values opportunities to connect law, technology, and librarianship in support of discovery and access to legal information.
