An Indiana University Jacobs School of Music alumna, Dowd-Higgins returned to IU after an international career in the performing arts which makes her keenly aware of the importance of transferable skills. She is especially interested in teaching career-bound students the importance of professional poise and communication. Her book, This is Not the Career I Ordered, is about women who have experienced a transition after recharging, re-igniting, or re-inventing their careers. Her blog of the same name features savvy career advice and job transition stories. Caroline is a regular blogger for The Huffington Post , a columnist for The Chronicle newspaper in Northern Indiana, and a contributor to More Magazine online. Her writing is syndicated internationally in major media venues.
Caroline hosts a weekly national CBS Radio show, Career Coach Caroline, focusing on career and professional development topics.
