3L Graduation Awards and Faculty Speaker Vote
Members of the 3L graduating class will begin the process to select the honorees for the Gavel Award, Outstanding Contribution to Student Life Award, and the faculty speaker. We will be tabling between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday to accept nominations; Monday is the only day for nominations, so stop by the table to nominate someone else or to nominate yourself. Voting will be on Tuesday and Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Each person can only vote once. You may select up to five candidates in each category. If you select more than five, your ballot will not count. Descriptions of the awards will be available during tabling. For those of you who are spending the semester out of Bloomington, please contact send your selections to the Office of Student Affairs (lawOSA@indiana.edu) by Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Singing for Summer Salaries
Join PILF for its longstanding tradition, Singing for Summer Salaries! Students and professors bid against each other for their favorite professor to sing! The professors in the running to sing are Profs. Dan Conkle, Luis Fuentes-Rohwer, Sarah Jane Hughes, Jody Madeira, Shana Wallace, Carwina Weng, and Dean Catherine Matthews. Professors and administrators also have challenges for students and will donate to PILF based on student participation in these challenges. There will be an air squat challenge, Foohey trivia, a challenge to dance on stage, and a challenge to name the correct songs based on lyrics. PILF is also auctioning off items such as bar prep discounts, gym memberships, yoga/pilates classes, IU and Law School swag, hotel stays at the IMU Biddle Hotel and the Hilton Garden Inn, rounds of golf, rent vouchers, and gift certificates. Pizza is $2 for 1 slice or $3 for 2 slices; cookies are $1 each; and water bottles are $1 each.

Jumpstart Summer Research Session
These jumpstart sessions are a popular and long-standing tradition at the Jerome Hall Law Library. These sessions run about 45-50 minutes in length, and are great for people who want a general refresher course. We will review topics that you learned about in LRW (cases, statutes, secondary sources) and will also introduce topics that may be new to you, but are important for any practicing attorney (regulations, court rules). Sessions are limited to eight people, and there will be a waitlist in case of cancellations. We will meet in the reference office, with sessions being held in the library conference room. Please register in advance. Noon. This session will also take place Wednesday. 3:25 p.m.
JD Student Speaker and Singer Commencement Auditions
The Office of Student Affairs and the 3L graduation committee will hold auditions for a student speaker and a singer for the graduation ceremony. Our panel of judges will include faculty, staff, and students. The student speaker and singer positions are open to everyone in the graduating 3L class. The role of the student speaker is to give the JD graduating class speech; the singer is going to perform the Alma Mater at the ceremony. Instructions for student speaker applicants: Come to the audition with a printed copy of a one-page statement of why you would like to be the speaker. Tell us about your motivations and what you hope to contribute to your peers as the chosen student speaker. Bring a printed copy of a brief bullet point outline of what your speech would be about. On audition day, you will give a two-minute sample of your speech. Instructions for singer applicants: Sing the Alma Mater at the audition. To sign up to audition for either, email lawOSA@indiana.edu by 4 p.m. on Monday. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Liz Ferrufino or Dean Catherine Matthews. Moot Court Room, 5:30 p.m.

LSSSE Survey: Coffee and Donuts
After the success of our previous promotion, the SBA will again be offering coffee and donuts to those students who complete their LSSSE survey but who didn't get coffee and donuts last time.

Also, you will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card to the location of your choice. Main Lobby, 8 to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m.

Equality and Dignity Under the Constitution: LGBT Rights and Beyond
The Supreme Court's gay and lesbian rights cases have prominently invoked the constitutional value of dignity. But "dignity" does not appear in the Constitution's text, and it remains an amorphous and controversial concept in constitutional law. Drawing on the gay/lesbian rights cases, as well as the Supreme Court's major cases on race and gender, Prof. Steve Sanders will discuss what makes dignity jurisprudence distinctive, and will explore both its promise and limitations for expanding constitutional equality. Moot Court Room, noon.
Networks to Mentors: Fostering Female Relationships in the Legal Profession
Join Profs. Laura Daghe, Jessica Eaglin, Shana Wallace, and Carwina Weng for a panel discussion on forming and fostering professional relationships in the legal field. From finding mentors, to building a professional network, women face unique obstacles in the legal profession. This panel seeks to offer insights from various professional and personal perspectives on how to navigate this integral part of the profession. This event is sponsored by the Women's Law Caucus and the Labor and Employment Law Society. Lunch will be provided. Room 121, noon.
Meet a Mormon
Who am I? Where did I come from? What's the deal with that musical? The J. Reuben Clark Law Society is inviting the Law School community to come and meet a Mormon. Students who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be tabling and welcome questions about faith, culture, and life in general. Feel free to stop by and say hi! For more information, contact Annie Xie (axie@indiana.edu). Main Lobby, noon.
