This Week in the Law School
Welcome back! We hope your spring break was restful. We're now in the home stretch of the spring semester. Lots to accomplish before classes wrap up late next month. We're honored to host the Hon. Geoff Slaughter, '89, today at noon. Prof. George P. Smith, II, '64, another tremendous alumnus, is here Thursday to talk dignity and death. Finally, happy 25th birthday to the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies! Congratulations to its founder, Prof. Fred Aman, Jr., and to all who have helped make the Journal such a success over the years. They're celebrating Thursday and Friday with a symposium.

Tax Info Session for International Students and Scholars
Attention all students and scholars on F and J visas at Indiana Law: As part of your continued compliance with US visa regulations, there are certain tax forms you must complete every year. This is true even if you did not earn income in the past year. All students and scholars who hold a J or F visa must file Form 8843. Those who earned income from a US source will have additional forms to file. In order to assist with this compliance requirement, the VITA team at the Law School will host a help session to assist with the completion of these forms. Please bring a laptop to the session. This is required by the IRS and federal government in order to maintain proper visa status. If you have any questions, please contact the student director of VITA, Jeremy Munza (jmunza@indiana.edu).
