Hamilton County Magistrate Judge Aaron Johnson '05 will speak about his experience as an attorney and how his faith has impacted that journey. Johnson has worked as a public defender, in private practice, and for the Indiana Supreme Court before becoming a judge.

Cybersecurity dual degree information session

Interested in pivoting your career to cybersecurity, privacy law, or AI? The executive board of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Association will present information on several cyber opportunities at the Law School — including the dual degree in cybersecurity and several certificate opportunities.
Founding a real estate and estate planning practice

Real Estate and Estate Planning Association will host David Soble who will discuss how he founded his law practice and what it looks like to be a real estate and estate planning attorney working in your own firm.

POP Presents: Law & (Protective) Order Series

Join the Protective Order Project to learn more about speaking with trauma survivors and individuals currently experiencing traumatic situations. You do not need to be a POP volunteer to attend this event. If you are a POP volunteer, you will receive a POP point for attending.

Rural Justice Initiative information session

In collaboration with the Indiana Supreme Court, the Maurer School of Law is offering the Rural Justice Initiative, a summer judicial externship for 1Ls with an interest in rural access to justice issues.
Students will be hosted by participating Indiana trial court judges in rural counties (those with a population of 50,000 or fewer).
1Ls interested in learning more about this opportunity are invited to an information session with CSO as well as past RJI participants.

Housing opinions wanted!
The Office of Admissions is asking for assistance from the Law School community in submitting an anonymous five-minute survey about housing to help newly admitted students and fellow classmates weigh their housing options for the next academic year. National Health Law Moot Court Competition results
Congratulations to 3Ls Aaron Hendryx and Emma Massa, who were national semifinalists at the National Health Law Moot Court Competition at Southern Illinois University School of Law. Aaron and Emma were undefeated in preliminary rounds and advanced to semifinals where they lost a close round to the ultimate winners of the tournament. Aaron and Emma were both among the top-10 oral advocates at the competition, and wrote the third highest-scoring brief in a very competitive field.
Snyder Visiting Scholarship deadline Feb. 9
Applications are now being accepted for the position of the SNYDER VISITING SCHOLAR at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (LCIL) at Cambridge University, England. The late Dr. Earl A. Snyder '47, an alumnus of Indiana University Maurer School of Law and Cambridge University, has generously provided support for one Maurer School of Law student to work at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law of Cambridge University during the fall of 2025 (mid-September to mid-December).
