Job and Internship Search Strategies for Law Graduate Students
Students in the Graduate Legal Studies Programs who are interested in learning ways to find internship and job opportunities are invited to attend this presentation by Michael Keller, Assistant Dean of Career Planning and Development, and Peter Hook, Electronic Services Librarian and Lecturer in Law. Keller and Hook will provide valuable tips and strategies to help international graduate students in their search for a job or internship.
Voting Rights Act Discussion with Prof. Fuentes-Rohwer
Prof. Luis Fuentes-Rohwer will discuss recent developments in the Voting Rights Act, including such issues as South Carolina's voter ID law and redistricting in Texas. Room 125, noon.

Shontrai Irving Talk on Transitioning from Law School to Practice
Shontrai Irving, JD'03, will discuss the challenges of transitioning from law student to law practioner. Mr. Irving is a litigation attorney with State Farm Insurance in Crown Point, Indiana. He is a former Deputy Prosecutor for Lake County and has a master's degree in criminal justice. Room 213, 4-6 p.m.

On February 2, 2012, Prof. Leandra Lederman presented her paper titled "Measured Tax Enforcement" (co-authored with Ted Sichelman) in the Tax Policy Colloquium at the University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law. She spent two weeks at Florida Law School as the Visiting Tax Research Scholar.

Study Abroad Application Deadline is Friday, February 17
The application deadline for 1Ls and 2Ls interested in studying abroad for a semester in 2012-2013 is Friday, February 17 at 4:30 p.m., either via email to Lesley Davis leedavis@indiana.edu, or in person in room 220. Information about the semester abroad opportunities in China, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Spain, Poland, France and Germany, along with the application form, can be found here. While applications for the spring semester 2013 will be accepted on a rolling basis until May 4, students who are sure that they want to go abroad next spring should be sure to submit applications by the February 17 deadline so that their applications may be considered together with the larger pool of applicants.

CIPR Symposium
The Center for Intellectual Property Research, in coordination with Purdue's Women in Engineering and Women in Science programs, sponsored a symposium and luncheon at Purdue on Saturday, January 28 on intellectual property law as a career path for women. Prof. Mark Janis organized the event, with help from recent alums Jessica Van Dalen, Leslie Prill, and Jennifer Schuster, and current 2Ls Natalie Jones and Tearra Vaughn. A number of other IP professionals from central and northern Indiana also participated.
Pack a Backpack
Please help BLSA provide school items for children survivors of the devastation in Joplin, Missouri! Throughout the month of February, BLSA will be collecting the following items to fill several backpacks for first grade children: colored pencils, markers, washable markers, no. 2 pencils, pens, pocket folders, erasers, spiral notebooks, facial tissues and 3 x 5 notecards. Boxes will be located in front of the library and in front of the BLSA office. The deadline to donate items is March 8, 2012. The donation of any of these items would be greatly appreciated!

You will receive confirmation that your room has been reserved after your request has been processed. When filling out your event description, please provide all information possible, especially if you are requesting that the event be publicized.
ILA Submissions
The Indiana Law Annotated (ILA) is published every Monday while school is in session with news about the coming week. Submit information and articles for ILA to ila@indiana.edu by Thursday at noon for inclusion in Monday's edition. Length of submission is limited to 150 words, unless otherwise approved. If you're requesting a room, submit all information (including the room request) via the Plan a Meeting feature of the website. If you have questions about an item appearing in the ILA, please contact Ken Turchi (kturchi@indiana.edu; phone 856-4044). Indiana Law Annotated is archived online.
Audio-Video Services
