Overseas Experience and the Job Search
Indiana Law offers a wide variety of overseas opportunities for JD students: summer study abroad, semester exchange, and summer internship programs. If you participate — or have participated — in one of these programs, how can you make sure employers understand the value of your overseas experience when a recruiter reviews your cover letter and resume or meets you in an interview? This presentation by Kate Caldwell from the Office of Career and Professional Development will address this question and other related issues that might affect your decision to study abroad or intern overseas during your career as a law student. Law students who have studied or interned abroad will also be on hand to share their experiences and strategies. Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP on Symplicity. Room 213, noon.
