Lecture: Cyberattacks as an Instrument of U.S. Policy
Dr. Herb Lin, chief scientist for the National Research Council's Computer Science and Telecommunications Board. Dr. Lin will present "Understanding Cyberattack as an Instrument of U.S. Policy." Much has been written about the possibility that terrorists or hostile nations might conduct cyberattacks against critical sectors of the U.S. economy. However, the possibility that the United States might conduct its own cyberattacks -- defensively or otherwise -- has received almost no public discussion. Dr. Lin's presentation will provide a framework for understanding the technical and legal issues surrounding cyberattack as an instrument of U.S. policy. Room 213, 5:30.

PILF Dodgeball Tournament
The annual PILF Dodgeball Tournament will be held on Friday, April 8, at 4 p.m. Teams will consist of five to seven players (five vs. five on the court), and the entry fee is $10 per person. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and for best costume. Sign up by visiting the PILF table during the lunch hour this week.

United Way of Monroe County Spring Day of Action
United Way of Monroe County invites students to participate Spring Day of Action on Wednesday, April 6. The 16th Annual Spring Day of Action is a time in which community members unite to perform meaningful volunteer tasks at local social service agencies and/or child care centers throughout Monroe County. Interested students should contact Eric Spengler.
ISBA Solo and Small Firm Conference Scholarships
The Indiana State Bar Association General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section is working with OCPD to promote the annual Solo and Small Firm Conference. This year the law school has scholarships available to send students to the conference on June 2-4 at the French Lick Hotel and Conference Center. Details are available in OCPD.
Congratulations to Men's Recreational Soccer Team
Please congratulate the Law School's men's recreational soccer team for their tournament victory on March 29. The team rode a 6-1 regular season record into the tournament and survived two close games (defeating a team of MBA students in the process), before former IU All-American goalkeeper Chay Cain broke a tied game with a blast with five minutes left in the championship game, which could best be described as "a laser." Please be sure to congratulate the following team members, and especially our pending graduates and elder statesmen, Greg, Jeff, and Dan, who were able to turn back the dial on their rapidly waning youth for but one more night. Team members are Greg Pottorff, Jeffrey Block, Dan O'Reilley, Scott Allen, Dave LeBeau, Corbin Fowler, Matt Krouse, Simon Malinowski, Evan Sarosi, and Chay Cain.

Indiana Law Annotated (ILA) is published every Monday while school is in session with news about the coming week. Submit information and articles for ILA to ila@indiana.edu by Thursday at noon for inclusion in Monday's edition. Length of submission is limited to 150 words, unless otherwise approved. If you're requesting a room, submit all information (including the room request) via the Plan a Meeting feature of the website.
