Biography
María Lucero Guillén Puón, joined as the Center Coordinator of the Milt and Judi Stewart Center on Global Legal Profession in January 2024. Lucero brings a wealth of international experience and a commitment to fostering collaboration. With a master's degree in International Affairs, Lucero has demonstrated a commitment to international understanding and cooperation. Originally from Mexico City, she completed her undergraduate studies in Administration at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and participated in two exchange programs in California State University Northridge and EAFIT University in Colombia, highlighting her dedication to global engagement.
Her diverse professional journey includes roles at the Indiana University Mexico Gateway, where she organized deeply meaningful academic events and collaborated with institutions such as the Mozilla Foundation and the Mexican Ministry of Culture. Lucero's commitment to sustainability is evident from her role at Erasmus+ Portugal, where she played a key role in creating a sustainability plan and supporting the internationalization of vocational education. Her scholarly interests in sustainability, multiculturalism, and global development align seamlessly with the Center's mission, making her a valuable addition to advance the understanding of the global legal profession.
