Biography
Yi Jiang joined the Jerome Hall Law Library in 2023 as the Metadata and Discovery Services Librarian. Her primary responsibility is ensuring efficient discovery of the Law Library's collections. She came to the Law School from IU’s Wells Library, where she worked in several roles including East Asian Acquisitions Specialist and, most recently the Chinese Monographs Cataloger. Jiang has served on IU Libraries’ Diversity Residency Steering Committee and on the Council of East Asian Librarians (CEAL) Technology Committee.
Before joining IU, Jiang earned her Bachelor of Laws from Tsinghua University in Beijing, where she also worked as a law librarian assistant and legal aid counselor. She then spent several years as an attorney and legal counselor for China Sports Management Company before obtaining her M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University, California. Jiang is enthusiastic about combining law and librarianship in her current role.
