Biography

After practicing commercial litigation and clerking on the federal bench in Chicago, Catherine Dyar began her career in higher education in 2002 at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law as director of annual giving. In 2012, she began serving as chief of staff to Provost Lauren Robel, overseeing strategic initiatives on the IU Bloomington campus for nearly 10 years. Her other roles at IU include assistant vice provost for auxiliary operations at IU Bloomington and as senior director for strategic health initiatives in the Office of the Chief Health Office and University Director for Student Wellness and Well-being in the Office of the Vice President for Student Success. In her current role at the Maurer School of Law, Dyar will serve as senior advisor to the dean and work with faculty and senior staff in advancing the objectives of the Law School’s strategic plan.
