Here's the argument I would make.
"The emails have a tendency to prove (they do not prove 100%) that Robinson was in love with Missy (whoever she is) shortly before the robbery, had a motive to please her, and she wanted to take an expensive vacation. That gives him a motive to rob the bank to get the money needed for the trip. A person with a strong motive to rob is more likely to have committed a robbery than other people with no motive. It helps establish identity."
Evidence is relevant if it has "any" tendency to help build your case. All it has to do is form part of the story of what happened and who did what to whom. A wall is made of many small bricks.

Look at part two of the problem. If you were the prosecutor, how would you argue that the evidence of the insufficient funds notice is relevant? There is more than one answer. When you have formulated your argument, click here .
