Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We have our first virtual Town Hall this afternoon from 4:00-5:00 p.m. EDT. The Zoom meeting will open approximately at 3:50 pm.

Zoom limits the number of participants to 300. For faculty and staff who already attended an information session on Friday, I ask that you not join this meeting until after 4:00, so as to allow as many students as possible to participate. If you can’t make this meeting or are not able to join, please don’t worry. This meeting is being recorded, and there will be two more live sessions this week at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday.

You can join this video conference from any browser by clicking here: https://iu.zoom.us/j/938518030 (Meeting ID: 938 518 030). If you are joining by phone, the one tap mobile information is: +13126266799,,938518030# US and +16465588656,,938518030# US. Basic information about Zoom can be found here. When in the meeting, please keep your line muted unless you are speaking.

Because there may be a large number of participants, I am providing an agenda (see below). At the start of the meeting, I will provide a brief explanation of how to use Zoom and the method I’ll use for taking questions. My aim is to provide as much relevant information as I can and to let you know a timeline for when we expect key decisions will be made. I expect to speak for around 25-30 minutes and will then reserve the remainder of the time for you to ask questions and identify issues, or for me to address concerns.

Please remember that we’re asking students not to be on campus unless necessary. If it is essential for you to come to the Law School, access to Baier Hall will be only through the north entrance next to Bryan Hall and limited to students who present identification. Please bring your Crimson Card to identify yourself as a law student. Students should not be in the Lewis Building or Henderson House. I will explain more at the virtual Town Hall tomorrow. If it is essential for you to come to the Law School, please remember to adhere to social distancing requirements, limiting in-person interaction with others. You must not come to campus if you feel ill or if you have been with people who are ill.

I hope you are staying healthy and safe, and I look forward to seeing you in the Zoom meeting tomorrow. Thank you.

Best,
Austen Parrish
