Order from the Indiana Supreme Court on the abbreviated, virtual July bar exam

The Indiana Supreme Court has announced that it will be administering an abbreviated, virtual Bar Exam on July 28. It will include a half-day of essay questions on Indiana topics, as usual. The second half of the day will be short answer questions on the topics usually covered by the Multi-State Bar Exam. The Court issued an order to this effect today. Indiana’s Office of Admissions and Continuing Education will be in contact with the law schools, the Bar applicants, and study programs with further information on the means by which the exam will be administered and proctored.

In view of Governor Holcomb’s executive order, all Law School buildings, including Baier Hall, will be closed until further notice beginning at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, March 27. If you have essential items that you need to retrieve, please take advantage of the next 24 hours to retrieve them. If they are not essential, please leave them in the building: The governor’s order requires that you stay at home.
Spring 2020 grading and exam policies

Attached are a summary of two policies for spring 2020—one related to grading and one related to final exams—that were adopted by the law school’s faculty yesterday, March 25, 2020. Both were enacted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Indiana’s declaration of a state of emergency (including the Governor’s recent stay-at-home order), and the necessity of moving to remote instruction.

Jerome Hall Law Library closing Wednesday, March 25

As you have now all read, the university will host classes and final exams entirely online for the rest of the semester. IU is doing this, like many other universities, in an effort to slow the spreading of the coronavirus. This decision means that you are free to leave Bloomington if you wish, but you are also free to stay.
