Provide general secretarial assistance to senior staff in the Department of ____________, to include preparation of finished materials from either handwritten copy, prior copy, or transcription from Dictaphone; answer telephones and take messages; compile information and prepare periodic reports; take notes at city government meetings and prepare Minutes; photocopying; processing departmental mail; other periodic duties as need arises. Qualifications: ability to work efficiently in busy environment, ability to relate to fellow workers and public; excellent typing (at least 50 wpm), spelling, punctuation and telephone skills.
