Example 2: (expert witness from "The Verdict")
The defense attorney is cross-examining Plaintiff's expert, Dr. Thompson, a "hired gun" consultant who testifies that the defendant improperly administered anesthesiology to the Deborah Anne Kaye and caused her to lapse into a coma. The plaintiff objects to the following two questions as irrelevant under Rule 403.
1) Q. Just so the jury knows, you never treated Deborah Ann Kay, is that correct? You only reviewed the medical records?
2) Q: You were hired to testify, is that right? You are being paid to be here?
