"When he was born was not the only time he has been present when his name was used. He has been present at hundreds of family events where he had the opportunity to hear what his name was."

There also is a rule of thumb that members of small, closely-knit institutions are presumed to have personal knowledge about the activities of those institutions. The rule is designed to make sure the witness knows what he or she is talking about, not to exclude evidence on semantics of what we mean by "personal" knowledge

Problem 9A part four. Wife says things about her husband:

3. He owns guns
4. He was fired in January
5. He said he couldn’t pay child support
6. He became despondent
7. He was convinced he’d lose visitation

Let’s look at the first -- owning guns. How would the prosecution phrase a personal knowledge objection? When you think you know the answer, click here .
