Professor Gjerdingen currently teaches Torts, Introduction to American Law; Wills and Trusts; and American Constitutional Law for Foreign Lawyers .He also has extensive teaching experience in Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Administrative Law, Legal Theory, Jurisprudence, and Law & Economics.
Here at Indiana, he has received both the Leon Wallace Teaching Award from the Law School, as well as the Trustees Teaching Award from Indiana University.
Professor Gjerdingen's research is primarily in the area of legal theory, particularly the special intellectual structure of American legal thought. His publications include such topics as Law & Economics, legal education, takings law, and modern legal thought.
