• December 17: Happy Hour in Washington, D.C.
  Ring in the holidays and toast the upcoming New Year with old and new friends, classmates, and fellow alumni from the Law School. Kick back and relax at this informal happy hour on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McFadden's Restaurant and Bar, 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue at 24th Street, NW.   Join Dean Robel and others from the School of Law at an Alumni Reception hosted by Haller & Colvin at the Allen County Bar Association, 924 South Calhoun Street, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• November 22: Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana Tailgate Party before the Oaken Bucket Game
  The IU School of Law is pleased to co-sponsor the DTCI's tailgate party before the Old Oaken Bucket Game on Saturday, Nov. 22. Sign up for the conference — and the tailgate party — through the DTCI Web site.

  Join Dean Robel, Professor David Williams, and Professor Susan Williams during their visit to Bangkok, Thailand, the week of Nov. 17. This reception for alumni and friends will be at the Jamjuree Ballroom at the Pathumwan Princess hotel.

  Join Dean Robel and others from the School of Law for an Alumni Reception in Indianapolis, hosted by Baker & Daniels on Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Baker and Daniels Lobby, 300 N. Meridian Street, Suite 2700, Indianapolis.
• November 14: Indiana Civil Protection Order Act — One Year Later (CLE)
  This free seminar will provide a nuts-and-bolts overview of the Indiana Civil Protection Order Statute (ICPOA), including changes since its enactment in July 2002. The seminar will also address barriers to enforcement of protective orders within and across state lines and will increase participants' understanding of the Full Faith and Credit provisions of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). This seminar has been approved for 1.5 Indiana CLE credits and is being co-sponsored by the Protective Order Project, the City of Bloomington Safe and Civil City Program, and the IU School of Law's Office of Alumni & Development. The seminar will take place on Friday, Nov. 14, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a reception to follow, at the IU School of Law, room TBA (look for a poster in the lobby). • November 3: Lafayette Luncheon
  Join Dean Robel, Dean Fromm, and others from the School of Law for an Alumni Luncheon for Lafayette & West Lafayette area alumni, hosted by Stuart & Branigan, on Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 from noon to 1:30 p.m.at Stuart & Branigan, LLP, 300 Main Street, Suite 900, Lafayette, Ind.
• October 24: Class of 1965 Reunion Reception
  Terry and Judith Albright warmly invite the members of the Class of 1965 to a Reunion Reception on Friday, October 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at their home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Members of the class will receive a written invitation and directions.
• October 23: ISBA Annual Meeting/Alumni Reception
  Dean Lauren Robel met with IU School of Law—Bloomington alumni at the Indiana State Bar Association Annual Meeting.
• October 19: Alumni Reception in Seoul, Korea
  Professor Joseph Hoffmann and Lesley Davis, director of international programs, met with alumni of the graduate programs, kicking off a weeklong visit in Korea.
• October 17: Board of Visitors Meeting
  Members of the IU School of Law Board of Visitors are invited to an all day meeting at the Columbia Club, 121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis.
• October 17: 21st Century Society Dinner
  Those who have donated more than a thousand dollars to the IU School of Law Fund for Excellence are invited to the 21st Century Society Dinner at the Eiteljorg Museum, featuring remarks by Distinguished Professor and Ira C. Batman Faculty Fellow Fred Cate. See photos of the dinner.

• October 10: Chicago Alumnae Luncheon
  Lauren Robel, law school faculty, and women graduates met at a Chicago-area luncheon for alumnae of the IU School of Law from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel, One West Wacker Drive, Chicago.
• October 9: Chicago Alumni Reception
  Dean Lauren Robel and other faculty members attended a Chicago-area reception for alumni of the IU School of Law, hosted by the Bank of America from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Grand Banking Hall, Bank of America, 231 South LaSalle Street, Chicago.
• October 2: Indianapolis CLE Breakfast
  Alumni learned about the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court calendar from Professor Patrick Baude at a CLE course and breakfast for alumni of the IU School of Law.
