Recognizing Our Alumni's Achievements
We're proud to recognize the achievements of our alumni through two special awards:
The Academy of Law Alumni Fellows
The Academy of Law Alumni Fellows was founded in 1985 to recognize graduates of Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields, and to continue to enhance the national reputation of the Law School by identifying those graduates who have brought distinction to themselves and, hence, to the Law School through their personal achievements and dedication to the highest standards of the profession. Induction into the Academy is the highest honor the Law School bestows upon its graduates.
The Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award was founded in 1997 to recognize graduates of Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington who have distinguished themselves in service to their communities and/or the School of Law in ways that exceed what might be expected in their business, professional, or civic duties. By selecting and honoring these graduates for their service, the School of Law will also define for its students, alumni, and constitutes its own ideals for community service.
