Michelle Trumbo joined the law library as Electronic Services Librarian in October of 2012. In this capacity, she is responsible for assessing, promoting, and facilitating the use of online legal materials and databases. Her other core duties include providing reference assistance to the law school community and teaching legal research in the Legal Research and Writing program. Her scholarly focus is upon the changing role of legal research instruction in law school pedagogy and the transition from print to digital publication of legal materials.

Trumbo graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2006, where she worked in the Community Legal Practice Center and public prosecutors' clinics. Prior to becoming a law librarian, she practiced law in the private sector for several years. She is a member of the bar in North Carolina and Maryland.
